中国将兴建罗孚汽车厂

    A unit of Nanjing Automobile Corp. will build a Chinese factory to assemble MG Rover brand automobiles. The Nanjing Auto MG Automobile Co. Ltd. plans to invest $346.9 million to produce 200,000 cars, 250,000 engines and 100,000 gearboxes annually. Production is expected to begin within 18 months, with groundbreaking set for later this month. Nanjing Automobile Corp. beat Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. in the bidding to take over the storied British carmaker after it went bankrupt.
